Ok, that's your opinion.

Just another reason why we all are different.

I'd like to re-discover America, but I need to get a Passport before I do so. It's such a beautiful Country. I hear that the South is like Heaven.

You should come discover us... In my town, this dude has taken 3 Routemasters and turned them into mobile coffee shops. It's too hot here in the summer, so only one is functioning now, but in the winter, you'll find them at the touristy spots. It's good coffee..

Anyway, I picked the someone else option 'cause of the Bering Strait things. I think we should have "Asiatic Persons Crossing the Bering Strait Day" instead of "Slave-trading Italian Colonialist Cleverly Disguised as an Explorer, Who Was Working for the Spanish Day". And no sales should be allowed on APCtBS Day. One of my big huge pet peeves is using a national holiday as an excuse for a sale. I can maybe tolerate like Labor Day (since it was a holiday for the working people, who could use a break) but doing it for the Fourth of July, or Veteran's Day? Hello, my dad fought in Vietnam so I'm gonna celebrate by getting 2 for 1 bras at Victoria's Secret! Or hey, it's Memorial Day! Let's remember our war dead by going to the shoe store cause Everythings Half Off! and we can get Manalo Blaniks CHEAP! In my house, National and Religious Holidays are designated no shopping days. The ONLY thing I will purchase on these days is groceries, if neccessary, (usually it's not, since I plan ahead.) or it's an emergency. Like when I gashed my thumb last Memorial Day and I had to get stitches, and then go to the pharmacy for adhesive tape and gauze and anti bacterial wound wash. I really wasn't planning on remembering by displaying the bone in the tip if my thumb for the world to admire.

Sorry for the Tangental Ranty Thing.

Quit kicking off you lot! It's boring and it goes on too much on this site.

I choose to believe that America was discoverd be St Brendan the Navigator (died circa 583AD) as described in a 9th Century manuscript. Thus, America was discovered by the Irish.

It puts a different slant on things.

This is'nt entirely accurate, A skull was discovered on the banks of the Mississippi River. It turned out to be 10,000 years old and EUROPEAN!!

More likely it fell off of a boat. River banks can be very dynamic.

Do you have any sources for the european land bridge. That would have to be a very long bridge, compared to the one by alaska. Got to http://maps.google.com/, select satallite, and zoom out.

I foud some info on this one. You'll have to forgive my earlier post because the info was a bit rusty in my head.

The skull was found along with most of the skeleton on the banks of the Columbia river in eastern Washington State. Tests of deposits on the bone matched deposits in the river, so they guy died where they found him. A spear point of ancient design was embeded in his hip. There are various theories how he got there but one thing is certian. He's caucasian.
