The
indigenous peoples of the Americas (url) arrived over 16,000 years ago either by sea or by crossing a land/ice bridge form Asia. Some Native American tribes have stories that support this view. There is no evidence of human evolution taking place on the American continents.
The vikings were the first to 'discover' america and attempted
colonization (url). One view of why these settlements failed was that the settlers did not have the ruthlessness of their ancestors and ended up getting ran off by the local Native Americans.
This is'nt entirely accurate, A skull was discovered on the banks of the Mississippi River. It turned out to be 10,000 years old and EUROPEAN!!
At the same time the Asians weere comming across the landbridge frow the west, Europeans were crossing a simmilar landbridge to the east. More Asians crossed than Europeans and therefore they likely exterminated the few whites they encountered. Modern Native DNA is 100% Asian.
