I've never witnessed the launching of fireworks before. I have seen fireworks in real life but not close up where people launch it.

Have you seen firecrackers getting launched before?

No. I make it a point to stay as far away from fireworks as I can. I don't like them at all. Too noisy and violent.

Yeah I once let one go and almost lost some fingers. Also I have lit off roman candles and mortars and other fireworks.

I am a complete pyromaniac. Much to my chagrin, yet fortunately for my fingers, fireworks are not sold in my state. I have helped launch some that friends brought back from out of state though.

I don't see what being a pyro has to do with it. I love fire, but the loud boobs from pyrotechnics is too much.

I'm not correcting it, either.

Are you calling the people who launch fireworks loud, obnoxious, drunken boobs?

I live right beside that place where fireworks are launched in my town. New Years, the beginning of the summer fair, Canada Day and other events. I always sit in my backyard with noise cancelling headphones AND earplugs and watch them.

haha I know.

But in the meantime some drunken boob neighbors actually did light fireworks off fairly close to my open window and it scared the s**t out of me.

I've had something similar happen to me before. Some morons were setting off fireworks straight into my back yard. GRR

Tea they were being kind. They just wanted you to be able to see them up close.

Yes, I'm sure that's it. I mean, why else would they aim them at our trees and curse at us when we told them to stop?

I have- there used to be a huge display of fireworks every year at the military base where my dad worked,
and we usually bought a bunch to shoot off at home as well.
My beau and I are going to do that on Monday night.
I love explosions. <3
