Doesn't it annoy you when almost every single site that you want to look up gets blocked? I keep trying to access sites like facebook, youtube, deviantart, and furaffinity, but they all got recently blocked. I've looked for good web proxies to get around this, but they are all blocked too.

What else should I do? My parents tell me I can have certain sites uncensored, but they are the ultraconservative types who would not approve of furaffinity and deviantart, and I have a profile on furaffinity I need to update.

Hmm... I dunno much about computers, but I'd suggest getting someone to send you a keylogger so you can find out an admin's password, hack them, and then you can do whatever you want with the internet :D

My butt. I have to cover my butt. Know any proxies that aren't blocked? I don't have the skills necessary to hack into the dns server. It sucks to have a dad that is more computer savvy than you are.

If any proxies are blocked, it's not on a block-list that I have access to :P
Maybe work towards getting your own computer?

If your dad is more computer-savvy than you, then it is likely that he has already read what you've posted here... :shameonyou:

i'm surprised your parents are blocking anything at your age. you'll be an adult in less than a year. you should be practicing adult responsibilities, like picking your own websites. you might try the free internet at your local library. they block porn, but generally not a lot of other stuff.

I do not even block sites for my 11 years-old. To find sexual stuff she just needs to watch a soap opera or watch MTV anyways. I have tought her to avoid that kind of content and I trust her (and she tells everything).

Errr... Why are they blocking your internet access when you're 17 years old? Over-protective much?

Computer-savvy ultra-conservatives scare me. That's just wrong.

TOR is AWSOME, Also Tom_Kakes there are options in programs like netnanny or OpenDNS is that Alot of times if Proxy Sites sections is set to restrict it will block TOR Also. But there may be a loophole there is another OpenSource Project useing Tor and FireFox called TorPark if you can get to google search TorPark and see if you can Download it, Stay with the portables to were if you have a USB thumb Drive or even a SD Card to put it on to those things.

Also I know and use deviantart and I do know that on my DNS Service I use is under Adult Themes but I know that the content on that site alot of it is restricted by your age when you have an account. So on my OpenDNS account I had to do Special Allowance for that site. I was thankful when I was little that my parents allowed me to be on AOL on General because I mainly used computer hours to Download Game Demos and other files like Midi files and WAVs

i use Tor, if anonymity is truly desired freenet can be employed, (not the internet and no access to homepages but there is sometimes what one looks for)

as others said i find internet censorship at your age to be completely ricicoulous, i had not let my parents do it to me.

If you have a notebook/netbook computer, you could get around your parents' firewall from a Coffeehouse that offers free Wifi. that being said, firewalling from libraries and other public internet access will vary from extremely locked down to practically nonexistant.

Also I wanted to state that I agree with Others that at age 17 internet censorship is completely Stupid and I have a felling that if your parents are that bad it may be even after you are 18.
