Is a neuropsych the way to go if I want to be tested to see if I have Asperger's Syndrome?

I was diagnosed by a neuropsychologist, but I've heard of people being diagnosed by psychologists and psychiatrists too. The way to go is to find an autism spectrum specialist in your area and go to that person rather than someone who doesn't know the spectrum.

I live in Anchorage, Alaska...don't even have eating disorder places here so it's hard to find specialists in general.

The Alaska Autism Resource Center is in Anchorage. I recommend asking them for their suggestions for that. Even if they focus on children they likely have information relevant for adults. Who I saw was the recommendation of the local autism resource center, despite the fact that they focused on children entirely.
