Yes. I'm a Furry.

For the other furries here, check out FurCast, a podcast put on by an Aspie furry.

Lots of Furries are neurodiverse, especially Aspie. As a community it's very open and supportive, with a rich symbolic language to describe differences in positive ways.

To the trolls: This is a thread about finding other Furries on the spectrum. There are other places for you to rant. Please read the posting guidelines.

I'm pretty damn close to being a furry. I'm big into biology, I like to draw animals(not anthro ones, just normal animals), and some of my favorite musicians happen to be furries and references to this are present in their album covers(my current avatar is basd on one of those musicians' album covers). Nevertheless, much of the fandom scares or disturbs the hell out of me. I like furry art(appropriate art, not sexual art of course), but fursuiters and much of the rest of the fandom disturbs me. I guess because it's really strange or childish and I wouldn't want to be associated with that. It keeps me away from the fandom. The sexual ones too. They push me away because they are pretty prominent.

I love  the Art. Is so beautiful. I'm not a furry, though. I just like the art.

I listen to a lot of Renard now. Renard is an independent electronic musician/ video game designer and a prominent furry with multiple "characters" embodying the different styles of electronic music he works in. Only one of them is an actual fursona, and that is Nurse Renard. He has all of his 500+ songs on his website for listening purposes http://www.lapfoxtrax.com/
His characters tend to be just as popular as his music is and actually tends to daw in more fans as I've observed over time. There is even an entire group dedicated to them on DA http://lapfoxfans.deviantart.com/

I only like furry art when it's CLEAN.

I'm not saying there aren't innocently minded Furries, but the vast majority are indeed sexual deviants.

And there's no problem with that.
I am a sort-of furry, and certainly appreciate anthropomorphic animals.
