at the risk of sounding like a broken record, capitalism and socialism are mutually exclusive. regardless of the, in my opinion, weak, arguments in the other thread surrounding realism/pragmatism, i think we could likely safely conclude in this thread, which the original poster requested we keep to the realm of pure theory, that these two systems of social organisation are mutually exclusive.
personally, i feel that libertarian communism would be the only real way forward.
