That's not a massive fail at all. It's far worse than that. Did you follow the link to the list of banned items? It says, "REALISTIC replicas of firearms!"

Those freakin' fools have gained way to much power to shred citizen's rights with impunity. People afraid this country is headed the way of the USSR should wake up. We're already part way there.

Well, it's post-9/11-phobia, and the TSA, they violate someone's basic human rights on a daily basis. As for the "realistic replica" assumption, obvious idiot is obvious.

This is how I feel about the Theatrical Security Administration....

I'm not sure if the TSA would be the first federal agency I would disband if given the opportunity, what with the ATF and DEA existing at all, but they'd make the top 5 for sure.

That's a ridiculous solution. How about training the idiots in the TSA properly? It's pretty damned obvious those fools were stepping WAY outside their authority.

Don't fly? Right then what's next? Don't take trains? Don't get on a bus? Don't drive a car? Don't walk anywhere? Don't leave your house?

Think it can't happen? Guess again. It can, and it HAS.

Even non-flyers' junk won't be safe for long, the TSA has been quietly descending on bus and ferry terminals around the country and groping everyone they can get their hands on.

Except for going to the UK, I haven't flown in almost 10 years. I drive everywhere in the US.

The US is without a doubt becoming the new Soviet Union. There isn't even any democracy, in the US, anymore. Only two parties - even if they wouldn't work together - which they do - there would be very little point in ever voting. The US currently has a bipartial dictatorship, basically.

Nude scans with dangerous radiation, with photographs being saved and leaking out on the Internet, molestations and rape are already the norm, among security agencies in the US, such as the TSA - what's the next to expect? It's time that good-hearted American citizens take back the country from these fascists that are in power. If there is no revolution, soon, you will surely lose all your rights, with time... piece by piece. ruveyn is right. Just stop flying, the airlines will force the TSA to back off if enough passengers quit flying.

Look, entire states have told the TSA to go f**k themselves, and the feds told the state we run your country.

I have learned that one way of not putting up with sh*t is to use an alternative way. Flying is not the only way of getting from here to there, at least not within the continental United States. Overseas travel may force travelers to put up with crap the airlines are imposing. Even so, one can always go by boat. It takes longer, but it is possible.
