I've worried about this. I heard somewhere that they choose people by voting records, which I hope is true since I've never voted. If I were called, I'd be thinking of ways left and right to get out of it. "He did it. I'm sure of it. Just look at him."

yeah, I dont know how they choose people. I hardly vote, but why anyone would want me in a jury is hilarious

i just cant take it seriously. i may even bust out laughing during the trial

I really hope they never try to make me do jury duty. I never got a summons but I might have gotten the questionnaire and might have just ignored it.

I have to go to court tomorrow and it's stressing me out and I don't want to do it.

I registered to vote once but I never voted.

If you need an id to do jury duty I can't because I don't have and can't get an id.

I heard this quote by George Carlin, perhaps you can make use of it:

George Carlin: Some people try to get out of jury duty by lying. You don't have to lie. Tell the judge the truth. Tell him you'd make a terrific juror because you can spot guilty people
[snaps fingers]
George Carlin: Just like that!

If you don't want to do it, you can get out of it if you get a doctor's note (for y'know, your diagnosis).
...If I'm not mistaken, I read that somewhere.

Actually I'll tell them i have asperger syndrome. they'll ask me to leave right away due to mental defection

If that doesnt work maybe i should wear my underware on the outside of my pants, that day and walk all up in there like:
"hi guys! i'm here to find guilty people! whos with me?"

:pig:

Tell them you have flat feet. Where I am we actually get them but are usually dismissed prior to ever going (this happened to someone I know recently). They called a number in the morning and it said they are excused... No one I've ever known has had to do the actual jury duty.

Aspergers might be a good reason, since it involves not being able to go to new area well/your stress level would be too high, and it usually means you don't soak in information well.

I did it and it is not bad. Nothing to worry about.

Get there, and wait. Bring an iPod or book. Get there at 8AM and you make wait until 11AM if you are selected for a jury. If so, just listen but it moves slow not like TV. Just be quiet, if you have to vote with a show of hand in the room at the back do what the majority does unless you feel compelled otherwise.

It should not be stressful, no talking in front of people. Just relax. Watch, and do what others do. Enjoy and get paid for it.

You might could get out of it if you have a medical or mental reason. I got a summons a year or so ago. I called the number & I asked the clerk if I could be excused because I had no way to get there due to being borderline legally blind & no public transportation in my area. She told me to mail the judge a letter. I was excused & never got anything since. If I ever get another one I'll tell them that I should be excused for mental reasons due to enjoying this movie

I'd take over for you if I was living in your area.
