Only when very upset about something, but rarely in front of my family.

I swear a lot in my thoughts and on the internet where it's allowed, but irl only under my breath or accidentally.
It's just an unfortunate habit I developed at some point now in my twenties.

When I first took up swearing (after leaving my Catholic elementary school), I did it all the constantly, but only to myself.

Now, I only swear when I'm angry. Or when I'm trying to prove a point (often about my willingness to swear).

I can honestly say I don't swear at all. When I'm angry I use minced oath.

When I finished grad school and started to work in a big firm, I found I was sometimes treated with a bit of disregard, like an invisible person, or sometimes even bullied. There was a respected manager there who had a slight stutter, and he cussed a lot. I rather wondered if his profanity was a way to appear more tough and less subject to teasing.

So, I adopted consciously adopted the profanity habit, and still have it, though of course I moderate it in settings like the workplace. Frankly, being one who was bullied through much of life, I must say I have found it helpful in certain settings to be able to present myself as more of a "tough" than I am. I rather doubt that many therapists would recommend such an approach to self-advocacy, but what the heck, it works for me.

no cussing or profanity. I have my own lexicon. I can say in simple words many things, equally sharp and bitter to any profane expletive yet concocted. Its an art form.

Yep I sure do. I don't when I'm in certain situations but if I get hurt, something pretty bad will pop out.

I admit to swearing, especially when I am mad or surprised. Most of the time, though, I try to watch what I say.

I tend to swear like a sailor online, but rarely offline unless I'm late and can't find my shoes.
