What would the world be like.

I am not sure honestly. I am guessing when you say autism you meen that and aspies and all related people.. But i could guess there would be less diffrences out there between people. Not sure if that would be a good or bad thing honestly.

There be no Rain Man or Mercury Rising or Family Pictures or The Innocent, or anything with autism in it. There would be no books about it either. Does that mean there be no Asperger traits either?

Gonna take the controversial route and say that humanity as a whole would be a little bit more 'healthy'. At the end of the day, from my point of view, autism is still a disorder.

That's not to say I'm miserable being autistic, or that any of us -either HFA or LFA or Asperger or PDD-NOS- can't come to live full and meaningful lives.

I'm just not sold on the theory that all revolutionary inventions were thought up by autistic minds.

Many of the greatest thinkers are/were aspies. I could name a zillion examples but there's no need. We have the ability to discover things others cant. The world has advanced a lot thanks to our condition. :D

It would be similar to a world with no cats.

People would still think the world is flat and religion would rule over all.

Since many of the great thinkers of the world probably had some form of ASD, or at least traits,we would likely have no complex math, no knowledge of the universe, and no tech. In short, an extended stone age.

I've been around too many very intelligent people who were NT to buy that idea.

I don't think NTs can self think that I can tell - aspies or the like see way beyond NTs - we see deeper - we can surely be screwed up but in the end we are the over achievers - NTs are like computers they store data and that isn't thinking - they make go gofers - go for this and go for that - ok just my thoughts

All the brilliant scientists of our times that occasionally make appearances in the media seem to be perfectly neurotypical, or at least not autistic. As for scientists, scholars and inventors of days past, we'll never know. Some might have been aspies, but I bet that most of them were not.

Yes, the world is clearly run by autistic people who rule over a subhuman neurotypical worker class
