I've heard Bob Dylan has it and Adam Levine also was diagnosed with it, as well as ADHD. Any other musicians that have or possibly were diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome?

Gary Numan and Days of the New's Travis Meeks appear on Wiki, I suspect Al Yankovic with his detailed mimics of song styles, and I would say Devo's Gerry Casale, just because he seems like such an Aspie. Lennon's Aspism has long been topic of debate

Really? Adam Levine? I would've never thought that. The guy from Owl City also has Asperger's.

The Bicycling Guitarist has Aspergers Syndrome. This is not rumor nor speculation. For nearly four decades I was without an accurate diagnosis because high-functioning autism (including Aspergers) was not recognized in the USA when I was growing up in the 1960s. I did some research and self-diagnosed upon being told about Aspergers by a counselor in the late 1990s, and in the past decade I have been tested and officially diagnosed at least twice (the most recent time upon applying for services a couple years ago from the Developmental Disability branch of the local health department). I am finally hooked up with the right agency.

Even if medical science can not as yet treat my problems (the sensory issues are the worst for me, but I really do suck at reading social cues, I mean, really really suck), I still think it good for this diagnosis to be in the records in case they do have any major breakthroughs. I don't want to be "cured" necessarily, I appreciate the gifts and talents from my Aspergers too much, but some relief from the sensory issues would be so very nice, and it wouldn't hurt for me to be better able to read social cues too more automatically the way most humans do.

David Byrne, formerly part of the Police, is one. Right now, his last release was an interesting compilation of a book 2 CDs, and a DVD, or at least that was the biggest deluxe version you could purchase.

I was about to aspiecorrect that myself, but Sting has made Aspergian statements as well, his biography (title and author drawing a blank) alludes to AS without saying it by name

So in reality in an alternate universe, a lot of those quirky 'new wave' dance moves might possibly be secret aspie signals, I'd like to think so

I've wondered about Bernard Sumner (New Order).

I thought it was Kurt Cobain who showed autistic traits?

They both do, but Love was the one diagnosed as autistic, Cobain was diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar.

Brief List:

Adam Young (Owl City)
Pip(?) Brown (Ladyhawke)
David Byrne (Talking Heads)
Gary Numan
Criag Nicollis (The Vines)

I suspect Kevin Shields is on the spectrum somewhere. I've no hard evidence for this, beyond reading interviews with him and seeing his mannerisms on stage.

On the other hand, he could just suffer from OCD and extreme shyness! Hard to tell unless I were to meet him face-to-face, but yeah.

Going back to the Bebop Fourties: I suspect that Thelonius Monk, and Charlie Parker, were both aspies.
