Currently, the trend in global geek polls gives an approximate 39 to 11 advantage to Mr. Obama over Mr. Romney.

Strange enough I think a lot of people are just sick of everything go down hill slowly and are leaning this way almost as an act of subconscious 'Just get it over with and burn it all down already for ---- sake!'. They know four more years of Obama is a better shot at an immediate flush.

What is really bothersome is that if Obama wins the election by two votes, he will claim a mandate. Then watch out!

Yeah Romney is a disaster as a candidate. It almost looks like he's trying to lose. What you have now is the hardened faithful trying to defend him and the Republican pundits ripping him apart. So now they are fighting with each other. Kristol attacks Romney and Breitbart.com calls Kristol a "pinhead". Noonan attack Romney and Chris Wallace goes after her. Scarborough attacks Romney and Bay Buchanan goes after him.

The break down is that Republican partisans want a win and will go to the mats for a guy they don't really like. Movement conservatives see a loss coming and want to frame it as a Romney loss, not a conservative loss.

Hey Murricans:

Our (UK) 2010 election was called 'a good one to lose', as any government would - due to the neoliberal BS they all subscribe to - have to f**k things up for a lot of people, and the losing party could then come in five years later, all fresh and clean, and sweep up a victory. Is there any chance there's this sort of thinking in the US?

If there's Republican bitching about Romney, how does Obama fare amongst the Democrats? Are they keeping quiet with their dissatisfactions?

Amazing as it is, Candidate Romney has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory (Churchill made such a remark way back when). As we used to say in Yiddish, He (Romney) has a Goyische Kopf.

Couldn't have said it better.

Of course, the media have been doing everything they can to help Romney loose.

Even so, Romney is his own worst enemy. The ironic thing is that he would make a much better president than the Obamanation. Romney, whatever you think of his politics, has executive skills honed doing business for decades. And he was also governor of Massachussetts. He could get his sh*t together much better than the incompetent we currently have as head of state.

I fully understand how Obama's politics may be more appealing to meany, but his skills as leader and executive are virtually non-existent.
