The very idea of you getting a tattoo, Idaho!

I have two tattoos: one of Jack Skellington on my left upper arm, and one of a raven on my right upper arm. I'd like to get some more someday.

I would like tattoos but have never dared go through with it yet. I always think "what if I don't like it in a couple of years?" but I have wanted the same designs for about 10 years now, so it's unlikely I will change my mind.

I'd like a lemniscate at the base of my neck, just far enough down that work clothes cover it but I can choose to show it off when I like. It looks like an 8 on its side and in maths it sybolises infinity, but as it never begins or ends it also symbolises eternity, and the cycle of energy as energy is never created or destroyed but merely changes state.

I also want one on my breastbone with 4 symbols about 1cm square each on top of the other. A star, a lightning flash, a heart and an anchor. Stars guide sailors around the world and back home again. Lightning is energy. Your heart is the beat you live by and also represents home. And the anchor represents stopping in a safe harbour and not being blown off-course.

And lately I've been thinking about going through the whole diagnosis process and what it would mean to me to have an answer to the question mark that has always hung over me, and I'd like to have some kind of tattoo that represents finding the missing piece of me. Still bouncing ideas around my head for that one.

I have a few (two of which I have designed and drawn myself). In the near future, I hope to include UV inks, but only when they are composed of ingredients that do not pose a cancer risk.

I've never had one, neither will I ever have. It's not that I have anything against them, they just aren't my thing.

I have 8 tattoos:

*tribal-----------left leg (calf)
*eagle scene---right shoulder blade and halfway down my right back

I have one on my left shoulder blade. It's a red poppy. The poppy is the birth flower for August, my oldest son's birth month. I'm planning on getting another for my youngest son, but I haven't decided what yet. Right before I woke up in labor with him I had a dream in which I saw a bluebird sitting in a blooming cherry tree, so I was thinking of getting a branch with cherry blossoms, maybe with a bluebird sitting in it. Or I might just go with his birth flower, which is a daisy.

I'd like to get a tattoo like this. Just debating whether to get it for my arm or my back.
