Currently, my major is chemistry, with a minor in biology, but that may end up changing. I have found that most of biology is memorization, which gets boring fairly quickly.

I want to eventually get a PhD in Literature so I can be a college professor. I'm thinking of minoring in psychology or linguistics. Eventually, I want to open an academy for the gifted and talented (with special emphasis on students with Asperger's)

Hey, a fellow EE! I think I am one year behind you though, I am a sophomore in how far into my major I have gone.

That is why I never went into biology. It wouldn't be a bad field otherwise, especially with new developments in biotechnology but I dislike just memorizing a bunch of stuff.

I've strongly considered chemistry and psychology and possibly sociology (as a lot of you are actually following up on, I see).

But I don't know. A couple years ago it was my dream to go to college and major in math, but I have no idea what that'll do for you. I'd probably end up teaching in a high school or working towards a university position at that point.

There are three more semesters until I'm in college. Who knows.

I am still in HS, junior year.
I am considering majoring in Spanish, Mathmatics, and Theatre Arts with a minor in Film Studies and Writing.

I plan on doing a PH.D in astrophysics, but I'd like to minor in nuclear science. I plan on going to UBC, but if I can't get enough money I'll end up doing my honours at QUT then go to UBC for my Master's degree.

Biology has a lot of memorization up front, which is one of the reasons I did so poorly in my initial classes in biochemistry. Just couldn't memorize the pathways for the life of me. The sheer fact that a lot of the molecule names strayed from the standardized names from chemistry threw me through a lot of loops.

However once you get past the initial mindnumbing memorization, there actually is a lot of conceptualizing (molecular biology, genetics).

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a double major - English and Psychology.

18th Century British Literature at Trinity College

Or

Developmental Neuroscience at the University of Toronto.

Either way, I'm spending my first two years at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. From there, I'll go to either those two or :
The College of The Atlantic
St. Thomas More University
St. John's College in Annapolis
Amherst College

or my absolute dream
Bard College!!
