I really want one but with Aspergers I have a very high tolerance of pain but it seems like a sensory overload thing. Any autistic or other wise have tattoos? Just tattoos please armor doesnt count those are quick

I have two small ones. It stung, but nothing intolerable and I might get another one of these days.

I'd love to get tattoos, but nobody in my family thinks it's a good idea because I have a tendency to change my mind a lot. ^^;

Pain is just a one-off thing. Rather than that, I think it would be horrible if you regret having it later. IMO, people with tattoos look trashy. It's one thing that puts me off. Not that anyone cares about what I think.

I have several: A biomech I drew myself, a FlaK cannon, blueprints (from various Cold War-era bunkers - they finally got done), infrastructure and some mechanical, among others.

Maybe sometime in the future. I'd like something small which isn't too showy that has a personal meaning.

I hear from anyone who has them, getting one inevitably leads to more. ;)

I don't have any. Don't want to get stuck with one.

I have two tattoos. I did find the process to be a little painful, but not excruciatingly. In other words, it's bearable, plus the end result is well worth it, I think. I'll probably get some more in the future, but right now I don't know what I want.

I really like tattoos, on other people. I just never got one because I didn't want any identifying marks on my body.

I have one on my forearm. They don't really hurt that bad and there wasn't much sensory overload to be had.

Of course, every autistic has their own issues with sensory, so I suppose it could vary. I'd just avoid the mid chest and ribcage for a first tattoo, your shoulder or forearm is a better place to start. In any case, if you're not sold on one you want, think about it for a few months. If you still want it, odds are you aren't going to regret it. I've had mine for a good 6 months now and I hold no regrets.

Why did you post the same post in two different sections?

I like tattoos ... when they're discrete ... and on other people.
