I like tattoos ... when they're discrete ... and on other people.

I have two of them, and no problems. I have incredibly high pain tolerance, so that wasn't an issue at all. The only thing I'd say could bother me, is if the artist has to be too close for too long. Definitely a space invasion, but as long as the artist is respectful and doesn't suddenly change his grip on my arm or anything, I'm fine.

I have a purple star on my right shoulder blade.

I have two. One on each ankle. It didn't hurt, really. It felt somewhat like someone pushing on my skin with the sharp end of a straight pin and dragging it across. I don't have much of a tolerance to pain, but I did just fine with getting the tats. It felt more like a burning than a sticking a needle in me type pain.

Same here. When I got my tattoo, it didn't hurt but stung a bit. Mind you I have a high tolerance for pain so I guess it wouldn't bother me a bit.

I want to get two of them sometime in the future, one on each wrist. Probably a treble cleft on my right wrist and a bass cleft on my left.

Oh, and maybe a sparrow on my forearm.

I have an English teacher who has awesome sakura tats on her shoulders. :)

My 16yo daughter wants to get one on each of her ankles exactly like mine. That makes me feel good, especially since I designed mine myself.

Tattoos in general are great. I've seen some specific images that people have that I don't much care for--huge-bosomed naked women, racist symbols, violent/ghoulish stuff. I've never been so stricken by any particular image that I'd want to permanently inscribe it on my body.

^ I'm the opposite. When I come to like something it's a permanent love and often that interest makes a lovely tattoo.

That's exactly what mine is! One of my special interests is severe weather and tornado sirens... I have a scene of a tornado in a supercell thunderstorm, and a Federal Thunderbolt siren horn in the foreground (hard to see in the picture; bad light). All of that is overlaid with a jigsaw puzzle outline, as to represent autism.

Nice tattoo. I want to do something with my interests and HR Giger's art style. Unfortunately, it's not easy to get an entire image of my interest on my arm where I want it.

I plan on getting a phoenix tattooed somewhere on my back, large and prominent but small enough and in a place I can conceal it if I need to.

No, I'd rather not.
