I think this is part of a broader movement of anti-intellectualism, anti-science sentiment and people who prefer to remain uninformed. Many of the creationist arguments against evolution are outdated and only someone who is uninformed would use them. With our understanding of DNA, we would have figured out evolution even if we had never found a single fossil.

No need to believe in viruses when you can ascribe the symptoms they cause to either being punished by God or possessed by Satan.

The endogenous retroviruses generally don't cause symptoms, they are mostly remnants in our DNA. There is so much junk in there.

Great video. But I have to question if over 90% of scientists are actually atheists just because they reject Intelligent Design. My perception is, they are simply stating supportable facts, rather than trying to bring in an unprovable concept of God into the equation.
