Accepting the pain.

Some people try to overcome this stuff convincing themselves that next time, there will be no reason for fear.

That's a mistake.

Reality is that you can get hurt again. And you can lose a good friend. Or perhaps not. But there's no guarantee, and something inside you knows it perfectly. Sooner or later you will deal with pain again. That's life: there's no escape. You can jump into the chance of suffering again (or being happy), or you can hide waiting for the pain that, be sure, will reach you eventually.

The only reason why I sounded like I was relieved he didn't find me attractive was because I hate people approaching me because of my looks. He spoke to me because I had aspergers. He knows I don't like it when people talk to me because of my physical appearance.

Quote:
I don't know what to do, I am unable to process what's happening.
He is the nicest, most understanding and caring person I know.
I'll never find anyone better.
I like him but I'm not sure I like him more than a friend and I certainly don't love him.
He said it's fine if I didn't love him, he'll just restrain himself.
I feel so guilty, because he's been so caring, understanding. protective and supportive.
I just never saw him like that, either as my best friend or family.
I don't know what I should do.

Close your eyes, and imagine you're with him in bed totally naked and having sex, imagine all in details.

After that you can answer this:
Does the idea sound pleasant or repulsive?

Um...

Boo, I don't think someone would be ready for that yet o_O

I think he's rushing the imagination aspect ><

Regardless, for now I say just tell him you're not sure. Maybe a hug and see how it feels?

I am repelled by the thought of that. Not because I don't like him, its because sex could lead to having a child and I am in pain whenever I think of the child I lost. I am not ready to sleep with anyone even if I did love them.

No, but they failed me. One gave me a child and one made me hallucinate and cry 24/7.

Yeah, personally I would never sleep with someone I couldn't see myself having children with.

ah

Well...

Fine!

No penetration, no sex, same question but replace sex with foreplay and kissing.

I still say just hug and see how it feels. It's something actually within the realm of something she'd likely be comfortable with at this point.
