This post is for those on the Autism Spectrum. I'm curious how many of you also have symptoms listed in this quiz.

Post your results or let me know how many of you think you have it or have been diagnosed with it. I took this questionnaire and scored pretty high on it. Let me know what you guys think of the disorder as a whole. Do you think it sounds scary, have you experienced fear from dealing with it, do you enjoy the out-of-body feeling you get from it, etc.?

I got 29, but I'm pretty sure that's just because I was taking a very liberal interpretation of the questions. Just from reading the questions I know I do not have said disorder.

YOUR SCORE IS 22

Your overall score of 22 falls in the range of Mild Depersonalization (15-24).

From the "only with drugs or alcohol" category, I think I have some idea how depersonalization feels. I experience nothing like that normally, and I'm quite sure I don't have DPD.

By the way, why does the scoring start at 14? :?

49. 8O I think it's mostly because I'm sick of my job, my SO's constant un/under-employment, and the grinding poverty we live in. We're about to have to live without a stove now.

I got 47.

I have more derealization than depersonalization.

Unlike most people with it, it doesn't cause me any distress and I actually like being this way.

Interestingly I have felt like this since i was a little kid, elementary school age. I remember the first time I noticed it. I was in the car with my mom. She was backing out of the driveway, and I realized nothing felt real. I wondered if everything was actually someone else's dream. I decided that wasn't logical. :) however, I have felt like that often ever since.

Your score of 66 falls in the range of Severe Depersonalization (25-75).We recommend that you be evaluated by a professional who is trained in the administration of the full SCID-D interview.

I was pleased to see that the site suggests that depersonalization is treatable - I may book an appointment with my psychiatrist.

I scored a 50 which is severe depersonalization but I DO dissociate a lot due to my anxiety disorders. Lately I haven't been able to recognize myself in the mirror. It is freaky. I look like an alien. I don't think I have been diagnosed with the actual disorder but my pdoc does say that I dissociate a lot because of stress. For me its a coping mechanism.

I scored a steady 37. Some questions described me, others had nothing to do with me.

Kind of shocking to see your guys' results so far. Maybe this is common in autism?

I know what you mean. I tend to not recognise myself in pictures or in the mirror. I had read that anxiety may play a part in it. I cannot say for sure. I just recently began looking into it, since I thought I had body dysmorphic disorder for awhile. Reminded me of it.

Your overall score of 23 falls in the range of Mild Depersonalization (15-24). Because you mentioned that some of these symptoms caused you discomfort or distress, we recommend that you be evaluated by a professional who is trained in the administration of the full SCID-D interview.
