I think its simply the (thank god already fading) teeniething, that noone else but them is able to understand. You know, just like Buffalo shoes in the 90ies or skunk-hairstyles in the early 00ies. ^^

Every generation needs its mystery. ^^

It's not fading here at all, and it's not a teen thing, women of all ages are doing it!

I see women here, mostly in teens and twenties, with really heavy-looking eyebrows, with sharp corners! 8O I thought they were just drawn on, but maybe they are tattoo'ed. 8O 8O

Is that what you mean?

They are really ugly!

I kindof agree with Schneekugel, that it is just one of those mysteries. People just see the need to be cool and fashionable and if things are seen enough then people will imitate it just because they think it's the big thing and don't bother to think whether it would suit them or whether it looks good, so this allows stupid looking things to grow. I've seen this before, such as Ponchos or the stupid bouffant ponytail. We can't be too sure when these trends will die down, but eventually it comes clear they look rubbish and then they will (hopefully) disappear.

I thought it was only for women who overplucked their eyebrows over the years.

Not sure why but they pluck and pluck until there's nothing there and they have to go for the tats to save time drawing them on every day.

Yes, there's the devil-like eyebrows, and there's the thick hairy eyebrows, and there's the thick tattoo line eyebrow..... All ugly, I wish I can show you some real examples from girls on okcupid, there are of all ages! (22 to 34)

Some eyebrow models look ok from distance....but once you get too close they glow like cockroach's carcass, you get a yuck reaction.

Naturally thick, but this isn't the thickness nor the shape I am talking about, those eyebrows variations are much thicker and wider, plus weird-looking.

My aunt did exactly this. I have a hard time looking her in the face without laughing ever since my cousin pointed out that they were crooked.
