Ever heard the word trailer trash or N***er...

This is just common sense friend...

This needs no empirical references..where in the world have you been living not to have been exposed to this attitude...I'm just curious..as I want to move there...

But seriously.. I live in the deep south..this is republican fundamentalist Christian land at 80% or more..and it is one of the worst places for the contempt of anyone who is perceived as different..or lesser in social status..even inside the churches...

This still happens frequently..HERE..all one has to do is listen to the idle chatter in Super Walmart where i live..

But I am not afraid of ignorance..they know..no better in my opinion..their loss not mine....

As understanding and love is the simple way to bliss..Conflict against others is just human misery is all..in only my opinion....

But I will give you this..as if you were in these places in the military..the military from my observation is one place where people are treated for their merits in achievement..instead of their inherent attributes overall..the military installation was actually a haven for treating all people with respect as compared to my local community...

They took care of their shipmates..that was all..and everyone who was part of the team was a shipmate..no matter what rank and privilege they had in the service...

Maybe that has changed since I left but overall it was great when I was there....

If the proletariat eventually gets fed up with its losses, some of the rich b*****s might get guillotined eventually. They had better not get too smug.

A few little crumbs, like Social Security and Obamacare, may actually serve to protect their status and avoid a revolution.

Is there a war on the poor? If you define war as two organisations involved in armed conflict as I do, then no.

Is there an extremely negative attitude towards the poor, possibly brought on by worsening economic conditions, I defiantly believe so.

Bloody Revolutions solve nothing. Within 60 years France was back in the hands of the Napoleon Clan. France went through five Republics before it arrived at a stable Constitution. And that was under De Gaul who was certainly no democrat and no socialist.

Which is why the wealthy should start worrying. Mobs of angry people with no hope for the future are obviously not going to give two sh*ts about the future.

The funny thing is: through the magic of Fox Noise and Hate Radio, the Rich have recruited legions of poor but amazingly stupid citizens to their side.

Wow..this is so true in the area I live..folks would starve to death to make a point...spoon fed to them by a TV..or radio..it's more sad to me than anything..as it truly is their future at stake....for the long run as well as their family....

Oh, I'm so sick of this "the war on" everything. I don't think Obama would know a war if it bit him on the ass! He'd be too busy apologizing to declare war.

But are things harder for the poor? Yep. I'm poor right now and things are harder for me. I've been in this shape for a while and things have always been hard. Do I think the government and society are out to get us? Nope, I don't. Sure, Fox News b*****s about us and says all kinds of stupid ass things but so what? Their target audience feels that way. They take the stance they do for ratings.

The states that have the most dire need for Obamacare's Medicaid expansion are the states that are refusing it.
