I thought there was a medication forum here. I'm on dexedrine and while it remedies my ADHD really well, it makes loads of my other symptoms worse, most notable my social traits. I can barely talk to people when I'm on dexedrine. When it wears off complety my social skills go up by about 500%. I experienced the same thing with ritalin.

Dexidrine and Ritalin both artificially skyrocket my anxiety levels, even if I have no anxiety before taking it and no other situational changes have occurred.

Basically just taking either one can make me a nervous wreck, unfortunately my Narcolepsy requires something.

At some point when a child I was RX'ed ritalin(methylphenidate) and it made my issues much WORSE my parents said, they took me off it.

As an adult trying some stimulants out of curiosity like amphetamine pills it was a horrible experience, to the point I am afraid of stimulants now. It almost felt like my brain was running on dry and was fried, couldn't even get words out of my mouth.

I was the opposite. I not only talked to people more and could think much more clearly when saying things, but I actually wanted to talk to people. I would actively go searching for them. That was pretty new to me. Of course, the pills were just making me manic.

Still, it was easier to adjust to change.

Stimulants work fine for me.

They calm me down, relax my brain and help me focus.

I find them a bit harsh when they are wearing on but after that I am fine.
