Saw this guy named Scott White (or Scotty Blanco) at a local comedy club around here. Was pretty funny, even after I sobered up.

Bill Hicks. Lenny Bruce and Mitch Hedberg are in there too (yeah, I know Hedberg's overrated, but he had some great one liners). I love David Cross's Mr. Show but don't like his stand up. After listening to Bill Hicks, other comedians seem like fat-free comedy. (If you get what I'm scratchin' at!)

Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White are good, too. I have heard interesting things about George Carlin, but have never seen any of his standup routines.

Ron White is my favorite contemporary comedian.

I also like Lewis Black, Gallagher and older comedians such as Shelley Berman.

Ron White grew up in the same part of the Houston area that I did.

I like many many comedians... Watched a ton of Comedy Central in college. Robin Williams "Live on Broadway" is wonderful.

It's too bad Mitch passed away a year or so ago. I love his material.

Dave Attell was another good one. I miss Insomniac.

Lewis Black is not a comedian! He is enlightened, a philosopher, a Man of Reason.

Monty Python, especially Cleese and Palin.
Blackader team, especially Rowan Atkinson, Tony Robinson, Miranda Richardson, and
Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie
Jennifer Saunders and "Patsy".
Jim Carrey in Cable Guy, Mask, and Dumb and Dumber especially.
Peter Sellers in best Pink Panthers
Jose Garcia in "The Boulet"
Alain Chabat in "Didier" and etc
Valerie Lemercier in "Les Visiteurs"
and other films rather than people. Situations/plots often make me laugh more than comedians themselves.
"Clockwise" for instance; the pile-up of people searching for Mr Stimpson ( played by Cleese, but it's not so much him as the contrast between his role and the chaos) has me in tears every time.
