How do you deal with having a disability in the classroom? Needing sensory breaks, accommodations, and being "different", how do you advocate for your needs, without the ability to allow for bullying from class peers.

Hi, first off, welcome to WrongPlanet! :jester:

And, since it does flat-out take more energy for us on the spectrum to sit in a classroom and get benefit from it, as a reasonable accommodation, how about some downtime built into your schedule? For example, maybe one period of library study or free study, and another period of tennis, track, or another athletic activity of your choice.
