This is the act of a man named Justin Bourque. According to last news he's still on the run. :(

Scary situation still going on in Moncton as he is still at large and a large chunk of the city is in lock down. I was there last year driving around late at night thinking about how peaceful and calm it was at night. There were a few police around and I thought to myself they have an easy job compared to where I live. Events like this drive home that's not always the case and I can imagine how hard to must be hard on the police searching for someone who has the means and motivation to kill you is out there. Hopes and prayers go out to all those affected and I'm sure they will pull through it.

There's at least one WrongPlanet member who lives in Moncton.

I've been to Saint John, New Brunswick, and the area surrounding it. I find within it a most mellow "vibe," as compared with the Northeastern United States in general (rather like Northern Maine, though). I've never been to Moncton, which I believe is the largest city in that province.

I sure hope they catch the guy, so Monctonites will be able to go on with their lives.
