That was funny. However, I got over my fear of bugs when I got rid of the man who was keeping me in false dependancy by being the spider remover. At the same time, he was irrationally afraid of slugs which I had to remove so he wouldn't freak out.
It would be so nice if we could all start relating to each other as unique beings instead of representatives of something amorphous and hopelessly inexact as gender (and culture, and race, and political belief, and brand of clothing etc etc)
In truth women are no more squeamish then men by nature. The opposite may be true to an extent. We have different areas of tolerance perhaps, though that's a nature/nurture question. Boys generally, or used to, mosty grow up outside playing in the dirt and woods and get exposed to the creepy crawlies early. Men do not normally seem as able to tolerate icky things as well as women with people however, or even pets, hence so many women in nursing, the medical field and as vets and pet groomers.
