Who would you elect as god? And why?

In homage to Persimmonpudding who inspired me, it's time to vote.
This election is open to all candidates, be they deities, humans, characters, past or present etc.

I'll start the list, but please add your own as you see fit.

Pooh-bear, of course!

After all, the real God would probably be flattered to share his title with a silly old bear. Pooh would probably forget to go to work every day, so life as we know it could be counted on to keep on keepin' on without much interference. The way it should be; not too different from the current officeholder.

Bob Ross. He would be a perfect god. Paitent, tolerant, caring, accepting, and humble. Not to mention the miracles he carried out on canvas with his painting. All hail Bob!

I chose Gaia/Mother Nature. Nature already runs the universe and does beautifully. If I were religious, anthropomorphizing the natural forces into Gaia/Mother Nature would seem logical to me. Other would-be deities are too far removed from the actual processes of creating life.

I don't consider Gaia and nature even comparable. One is a hypothesis that concerns the earth, the other is basically everything. Personally I think Gaia is a poor hypothesis. It is so called elegance is actually it Achilles heel, there is a lot of wishful thinking, and little substance. It is not a good model of the nature of the earth.

I wouldn't elect anything as god. If you mean god the creator. Well you can't elect a creator. It is is some being being that I worship, well I'm not to hot on that idea either. Omniscient well then...
