It's a ridiculous diagnosis isn't it! I got told I had Personality disorder NOS when I was 17. I see it as the posh term for 'you've got something, but we can't be bothered to investigate it so here, have a cover all label'. I later got re-diagnosed with autism, Tourettes, ADHD and OCD. My 'facticious disorder' turned out to be Ehlers Danlos syndrome type III. Last week I told someone I had been diagnosed with personality disorder NOS as a teen and she said 'Don't you mean pervasive developmental disorder NOS?' and I said 'Nope, definitely personality disorder NOS!' I've been assessed more recently and apparently I no longer have a personality disorder!
