You do mean Portland, OR, right (even though Portland, ME is somewhat similar to the "other" Portland in some ways).

Cat Island is on the other side of the pacific.

I went to cat cafes once in Taiwan (in fact the whole idea started there). I only went there so I can pet some cats... not really to meet women. The place was kinda deserted when I was there. They opened a second cat cafe elsewhere in Taipei where I swear the lady who runs it is a crazy cat lady.
