I thought of starting a thread about people who have achieved success in terms of having a social life as well as making and keeping friends. I've been reading this section "Social Skills And Making Friends" it seems that for the most part people are struggling, losing friends, etc. in other words there's negativity. Whenever I read each thread I feel and get discouraged. So therefore I thought of changing my focus for those who have had a positive outcome, and have everyone post here based on your story how you've achieved having a social life maintaining and keeping friends.

Did you start with having no social life?
What got you started with having a normal social life/having keeping friends?
What changed that?
How did you achieve from having no social life to having a social life, as well as having and keeping friends for many years?

Was it therapy/group therapy, volunteering, did it by yourself or any other way?

Do you feel the capability of having and maintaining a normal social life?

How do you feel about your self confidence, self esteem, self worth? Has it improved? Do you still feel insecure?

I am responding to this, but I haven't finished. I'll probably pick it up at the weekend.
