Not necessarily.

At least not for the first time when you speak to her ...if she's shy then it'll be practically impossible to drag words out of her mouth; even though she's shown you a lot of interest and even had her girlfriends walking behind her when she's passing you by so the girlfriends could see if you were checking her out or not. And not to mention the countless flirting signals over a number of days.

And yes, I'm talking about a specific girl in my college (no, no love feelings from me - not then nor now)

And when I finally mustered up the courage to finally go and talk to her I noticed that she never looked me in the eyes but looked down at the floor ...but I still wonder if she was smiling, as I think she was smiling but her face was pointed downwards so I have no idea. And talking to her was a pain because she gave practically a yes and/or no answers and never asked me anything in reply.

And I'm very shy and introverted, so I had to grow some very, very big balls to approach her. And boy it left a very bitter taste so to speak. I don't think I'll ever approach another girl after this disaster. Luckily it only lasted a few minutes because I excused myself and took off.

I had an eight-year relationship with a woman who hardly ever laughed at my jokes. I'm thinking now she never liked me.

As have already been demonstrated, the list is pretty bad if you want to meet another Aspie, but probably decent if you want to meet an NT.

She acts more platonic than like an actual girlfriend. {My ex-GF was this way.}

Well for most of the girls I've met and from my own experience, I would say they go as follows:
1. She doesnt speak to you
2. If she does speak to you, it's in short and abrupt statements
3. If she's too nice to do the above, she'll look kind of pained when you look away.
4. She'll avoid you.
5. She wont answer your calls and to explain why, she'll say she was "busy" at the moment.
6. She'll lie and say she has a boyfriend
7. She'll keep her distance (i.e. in hugs, conversations...etc)
8. She'll complain and say she's running late and it'll cut your conversation short.
9. She'll look uncomfortable around you
10. When she's with her friends, she wont even bother noticing you.

That seems very NT-oriented.

IMO, there is only one reliable sign that a neurodiverse girl likes you, and it is that she will make regular eye contact with you even if you don't talk to her. Thus, the only reliable sign that a neurodiverse girl doesn't like you is that she will avoid eye contact with you. The middle-ground is for NTs, and if you fancy those, just use the traditional signs.

Especially #1 is very wrong in relation to neurodiverse people. In fact, if somebody neurodiverse won't speak to you it is more a sign that they like you than not, because many will become non-verbal with people they like a lot. #2, #7 and #9 are also pretty bad in that regard.

What about…?

• She laughs at you.

And, while we’re at it …

• If she ever acknowledges you, she does it by talking about you, in the third person, with other people, right in front of you, thus dispelling any doubts that addressing you like a fellow human being is beneath her.

• While talking to her friends, she uses you as the obvious example of a guy wanting anything to do with is an absolutely laughable idea. Especially if she is clearly aware that you can hear her.

When she makes fun of you and bullies you for being an aspie.

I don't think that is true. Attractivity is not related to neurodiverse-state or having odd preferences.
