My name is Sophie and I have Asperger's and ADHD (diagnosed at age 12.) I have never personally met another girl with Asperger's (to the best of my knowledge anyways,) and through this forum I am just hoping to get a better understanding of Asperger's and meet people who can identify with my experiences. All I know about Asperger's I have learned through the media, and as a child I was neither a picky eater nor academically talented (god I wish,) so I am hoping to learn what are myths about Asperger's or at least overly-used/exaggerated qualities.

Welcome aboard. There are many members here who are both female and diagnosed with (or suspect having) AS, so I'm sure you'll be in good company sooner rather than later.
