Welcome to WP! :D
Alot of times.. after the discovery or realization that one is on the spectrum, it takes a while for it to actually sink in and to become comfortable with it. I am not confident enough in myself to diagnose so I went to a specialist.. and even after she confirmed it, it still took me almost a year to really become comfortable with it.. so I'd say to just give it time.

Even though last Fall, when the therapist suggested that I have Asperger's... I thought: "Yes, it makes sense." But also: "No, this can't be right." I spent most of my life thinking I was a nutcase and in a way that still feels more comfortable than saying I have Asperger's. Maybe I will see a therapist for more insight. I am not comfortable with it and that is okay with me. I know me-- I just sometimes need time to let anything just settle in.
