Same thing here. When I read about hand flapping, I thougt "that sounds really silly. I know I don't do that, but I do have other stims." Then a few days later I went into the kitchen to get a snack, and I noticed my hands were wiggling back and forth. I know that I have done this many other times when I was excited or afraid, but I never noticed that there was anything odd about it so it always escaped my attention. So, yeah, I guess I'm a hand flapper too.

as far as i know i've never done it, but then again until i started noticing it i didn't know i stimmed (or at least that it wasn't normal). i usually rub my toes together or, as someone mentioned earlier, rub my thumb against my index finger. i think i might move my hands back and forth slightly but nothing really noticeable that someone would call "flapping" as far as i can tell.

Oh my god. If that is hand flapping already, I hand flap.

(Is it contagious? Because it makes me feel happy myself when I see this kid flapping.)

I like also making the same fast movements with my middle fingers :D Some time ago I felt pain in them for some days because of it.

If I get agitated, or stressed, or excited, my hands become uncontrollable.

I rarely get excited, but when I feel anxiety--whether good/bad--my hands tremble a lot.

I've been flapping my writs/hands lately though since I feel sharp sensations in them.

I just noticed that sometimes I flap my hands/wrist because I like how it feels.

Hmm.

How do you all hand flap? My hands don't flap really, but my fingers do, all individually though . . . repeatedly . . . in a sort of cascading motion.

I do that too, but mine also wiggle from side to side, like a princess wave only rapidly and with fingers spread. My arms can be up or down, it doesn't matter, but they are often down.

Cool! Here in Sweden we don't have such things  But I would also want one of those t-shirts! :)

Me neither, though funny enough after I found the website (like a week later), a new girl was in my art class who has Aspergers as well :D
I tend to do it more when I'm nervous, and my legs (when I'm sitting) shake, and my arms (if I'm standing) shake.

I used to flap my hands a lot when I was younger, but forced myself to stop when some of my family members teased me about it (particularly after my dad called me a "bird").

I'm starting to get into the habit again, though the others seem to be more respectful of it this time.

I flap my hands really fast for a few seconds if i'm really excited about something. It just feels like if I don't do it, the excitement will over-whelm me...it seems the only way to release it.
