I have some old autographs and cards too. I think mainly old Pirates. Clemente, Stargell, Bonds, etc. I grew up in the area.

Greg Lloyd was my favorite football player growing up. Used to love going to see Lemieux and Jagr back when the Pens were winning cups.

I only ever watch footy and tennis for pleasure. The best players I've ever seen are Diego Maradona and Roger Federer.

Also, boring as I find cricket, I have to admit Shane Warne was pretty awesome.

it's his own fault for sticking with the lions. he could have had success on another team. he put himself into early retirement.

kinda like how brett favre is hanging around too long. favre would probably work well as an experienced backup a la vinny testaverde or drew bledsoe...but not much more than that at this point.

Cool.
I notice two of your three favourite athletes are called Roger!
What are the chances of that?

Codarac,

I know! It is odd, isn't it? Both Bannister and Federer are nice people and very talented. Very few people, let alone athletes, combine those attributes. That is one reason I like both of them.

The triplets from the Cowboys' glory days: Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin.

Anna Kournikova too, even though I don't care about tennis. :P

i think barry wanted to retire. and i'd really apprechiate it if people and the media would stop foricng people into retirement, just because a guy is about to break most of the records doesnt mean he should retire before, during or after. brett favre is still a great qb and i hope he plays a few more years. hes defintly better than VT or drew bledsoe, drew bledsoe is the biggest joke ever. he shouldnt even be a friggin back up
