This is the first one who came to my mind. He's my favorite comedian of all time :)

Me, too. I don't think there's ever been anyone who's made me laugh harder. I was very sad when he died. He was a really nice guy as well as funny.

An Aspie friend of mine is a stand up comedian. And he is good. I just always wonder how he dares it to go onto a stage and do his gig, I'd be so nervous no joke could ever work out well...

I think Andy Kaufman was definitely Aspie.

Kaufman had a whole lot of aspie traits.

Dan Akroyd has said that, as a kid, he was diagnosed with Tourette's, but suspects that he might really be an aspie. If you've ever heard him obsessing about blues music or UFOs, you might believe it.

Crispin Glover is my own nominee, if there's room in the list for other than stand up types. He has done stuff which reminds me very much of things that Kaufman would do, like when he got himself kicked off the Letterman show for acting WAY too convincingly like one of his characters. I guess it's easier to show than to explain...

Crispin Glover: yep he sure does seem AS to me. Interesting though that he tries to make us think that it might not have been him on the David Letterman show. I wonder what his motive was.

I have a very dry, twisted sense of humor. Reading that aspies didn't have one sort of threw me, like perhaps it wasn't a good fit after all. But I'm certain that you don't have to possess ALL of the characteristics of an aspie to be one.

maybe I need to go get *professionally* diagnosed Image

nonetheless people laugh at my humor. i'd prefer a derisive smile but eh
