No, just close. I still use the old mailbox I have had for a long time. It's easier not to have to change addresses.

Mailer was one of those authors that the media always raved about, but when I actually sat down to read, couldn't get through more than a page or two.
I was interested in "The Castle in the Woods", which deals with Hitler. But when I read some pages online, it just went on and on, blah, blah. When I read his writing, it was like watching a plane taxi down the runway, I kept asking 'so when is this gonna take off?'

Just read one of his obits. Not a man to be admired. Married six times. Frequently cheated on his wife of the moment. Liked to threaten other writers physically.
I wonder what Gore Vidal has to say???

Gospel According to the Son was pretty good, although you kinda know what to expect with that one.

Mailer always struck me as the typical college educated Author. The guy was Harvard all the way. He was a good author. Not great in my book, but definitely good.

Odd, but his personal life was far more interesting than his stories.
He was a better character than the ones he made up.
