Sorry off topic, this reminds me of a saying i heard in a movie.

"A guy can build a million bridges in his life, but if he sucks one c**k, he is known for being a c**k sucker, not a bridge builder"

Excuse me for being inapropriate, but its how the saying went.

It's a fashion/clothing style -tight/artsy looking clothes. It used to be all black and band tees, now it has expanded and can fit a wider variety of different groups of people etc (looking preppy and emo, skater and emo).

It's also a way of cutting your hair. Some people used to get really ridiculous with the hair cuts, but now it seems people are just going with casual, shaggy hair with bangs, or short choopy hair on women.

It's also a cult. :P I want to know where all the emo kids come from? I mean what were they before they were emo?

My opinion can blatantly be summed up in the following four words:

All emos look ridiculous.

No. I think it can look cute on some people, but I don't find it attractive sexually or anything. But I don't find anything "wrong" with it.. it's just clothes.

I'll admit it... I do like emo boys (and girls for that matter), especially really cute and shy ones.

emo is not attractive. its a fad. the people who dress that way are snobby anyway, which is funny since they are so hellbent on impressing each other and convincing themselves they are superior to everyone. girl jeans belong on girls, not guys. bangs dont look good on guys either. white studded belts look ridiculous. and that metalcore/screamo stuff they like is pretty played out too.

I would also tend to think that there is a wide range of how emo one can be. In High school I was generally depressed, wore all black and listened to linkin park, but I didn't wear uber-tight jeans or bangs (I actually have a sensitivity to hair on my forehead), dye my hair, or cut myself... and yet I was referred to as emo for a few months. I now refer to that as my "emo phase", brought on primarily by teen angst (which is really what causes most emos to acquire their emo status)...

As for the OP, emo girls do have some attractive things happening. Dyed hair, tight jeans, and the black colors can be good if done properly, while things such as wrist wounds are less appealing... although the attractiveness of a person in question will not change much when they're compared to what they would look like if they didnt wear emo style...

[quote="merr"]shaggy hair with bangs, or short choopy hair on women./quote]

Both sex's seem to have the same styles here in the UK.

What are 'bangs'?

Bangs are the parts of your hair that drape over your forehead...

i don't like guys that look like girls or little boys. i don't like the whole "emo" thing as the word is being used today.

but i must admit... that back in highschool i forgave kurt cobain for having long hair (i HATE guys with long hair) when i saw a picture of him with eyeliner on.

but i don't think most guys can pull off eyeliner.
