Nope, Demetri takes credit for that one.

Milton Jones - he certainly interprets things very literally and has an aspie type strangeness to him.

"If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then onto a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They train for that."

If anyone's seen Eagle Vs Shark, the character Jemaine Clement plays.

We Aspies all have some funny things we do and a good observational Aspie comedian would go down a treat.

I didn't know aspies could be stand-up comedians. I know for a fact im no where near socially enough to be a comedian. Plus my anxiety would be off the chart if I got on stage in front of everybody.

I'd say if you're clever enough you could get by. And certainly not every person with AS has stage fright. I could imagine someone with AS at least managing to pull off the clever one-liner sort of humour that made Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg and Demetri Martin famous. And they've all been mentioned in this thread too, but as usual with celebrities who have not been diagnosed or self-proclaimed my lips are totally sealed.

Dan Aykroyd said he has Aspergers. appearently his obsession is police work and his basement is filled with survaillance equipment and he carries a badge everywhere he goes.

According to Wikipedia, Aykroyd's obsession is UFO's. He carries a badge around because he's an honorary police official in Louisiana ("Reserve Commander"). And its uncertain if he was kidding or not about having Torrets Syndrome and Asperger's, or if it was a clinical diagnosis or self, since the only time he mentioned it was a radio interview.

Sorry, I'm being anal again...

We're used to being on the outside and laughed at. So, why not make money out of it.
