Hers an explanation for yesterday. I said the worst things I could think of in the rudest way in hope of getting the attention ONLY of the moderators.

I cant apologize to all the regular folks because I knew what I was doing.

I regret misusing a support site.

But thats why I want to get banned. I have an addictive personality. I only got a computer less than a year ago. There were times on WP when I was up for two days straight.

I tried to set limits for myself. I failed.

Here as in" real" life I tried my final soulution, burning bridges.

I have emailed the mods before asking my account to be closed. They in good conscience probably thought I was just having a bad day.

I need to go or I'll continue to be sucked in.

Thank you for your personal messages. They were not hateful only of concern.

Best wishes to you and Love for your continued kindness to each other.
Dave

I know how you feel. I have tried to get the mods to lock my account too in the past. I can get way too sucked in here....on one hand, it is great to have an outlet...on the other hand....oh....sooo much time perpetually down the tubes...and i know it is not good for me to fixate so much upon something i am not diagnosed with....

Ban is still a deode-RANT

There are those with thousands of posts here (I will not mention names). I love this site. I am AS, no meds, unemployed again (judged too slow again). But I am not a loser. I am not addicted. WP has done nothing but good things for my life. I am actually improved socially and can stand up for myself more. It is about time, too, at my age.

Now I have more posts than you, TrueDave. I would like to meet all you people but I know this is not possible. Perhaps we might not even like each other. For now I know as much as possible. This is good enough.

I have been on other sites and have found them lacking. Here is good. Here I will stay. I hope I am never banned.

Is AS was a load of cr*** (which it IS NOT), I would rather be on the Wrong Planet!

WP actually di d good thing s for me as well.

After "talking" here I found I could listen better and did better at conversations in reality.
I'm posting again because I want this to be at the top of the list and read by as many as possible.

I can be compeditive too about the posting limit, dont tempt me. :)

I swore I would stop at 1000

You mean you just want your account off the WP site?

They can't take it off?

Are you saying you want off because you're addicted to this site?

Sorry I'm confused. But you will greatly be missed. WP has taught me a lot about myself and still is. If I didn't go through some hardships with members than life in general would not need to change. For me, it's like preparing myself or expanding myself for the real world and the people in it.

I was beginning to wonder if something bad happened to you.

Can I give you a tip? Instead of getting banned or abusing the site, try a no electronic day or two. You will pace in circles for a little while, but in the long run it would probably do you some good. Do the dishes, do a "spring clean" get out a little, if it is only to the library (but don't let yourself touch the computers.)

Once your couple days of no electronics it should be easier to spend less time on them for a little while afterwards. You will go through withdrawal, but in the end, it will be easier to separate yourself from them after a smaller amount of time.

Truedave,

It isn't that easy. You have to try to cut back. I KNOW it is hard! I got the addiction in about 1980, and broke it in 1985 or so. I got it AGAIN in 1999 and have had it TO THIS DAY! I COULD give you a GREAT example of how bad it was, but THEN everyone would know who I am!

Let's just say that you probably pale in comparison, as far as forum addictions go.

Thought as much.

The internet can get pretty addictive at times. 8O

Take care Dave.

Here is this for an idea... open notepad... type a string of random characters... copy it to your clipboard.

Change you password to here to this random string...

change your email address in your profile to a non-existent address (or at least one you don't have access to)

log out.

Delete the notepad file.

Reboot your PC.

wa la... you've just banned yourself.

I new there was something more to it than met the eye...

Honey addiction sucks....I know...I'm a recovering drug addict and acoholic.

Addiction recovery people are everywhere. They can help. Speak to counsellors...and don't worry that you think just because it's the internet it doesn't count. It does. It does.

Get some help, and hang in there. I know about obsession...be good, honey.
