I have a bit of a habit... Okay, a really bad habit. I tend to scratch when I'm stressed to relax, and it is a major, major problem. I was wondering if anyone else had a problem like this, or if they had any advice, because I need to stop before my back becomes like one large scab. And acrylics don't work, because they come off... Mostly because I pick them off, since they feel odd.

Please don't critisize.

You could try to develop a competing reflex, that means clenching your fist or doing something that prevents you from scratching your back when you feel like doing it. Someone suggested it to me but it didn't work. You might have better luck with it.

Problem is, I don't really notice that I am scratching, and I realise it only when it is too late (Either the scab is gone or heavily damaged). Doesn't help.

I had a scratching problem when I was little (still have, just not as severe), but I take it you're talking about just scratching for the sake of scratching, and not being physically itchy all over.
