Poppycock. One of the ideas that the US was founded on ("... all men are created equal... ") has changed dramatically over time. Originally, it meant white males who owned property. Over time, that idea was expanded to include Negroes, American Indians, and women.

My confusing ideas with attitudes? Okay!
Ideas exist only the individual mind. An idea cannot be communicated accurately to another person, only with a minimum of innacuracy. As an individual changes, the mind changes, ergo the idea as conceived changes. Sorry, but ideas don't exist as ding an sich.

You got it backwards: ideas DO change but people still do the same things theyve always done.

No, actions exist, still no ideas on their own. This an ontic and epistemic issue, not a semantic one.
