Did you do this as a child? According to my mother, until I was about six I talked to myself perhaps more than I did to other people. I notice that I still talk to myself more than most people seem to.

Oh heavens yes. I talk to myself probably more than I talk to my husband. :) And as a child, I played alone a lot, and talked to myself/my dolls a great deal.

Sometimes I wonder when I'm NOT talking to myself!! ! Actually, I often talk to myself without realizing it...

So yes... I do it all the time!

I'm very prone to talking to myself, and I don't find it embarrassing. It's not like I'm hearing voices or anything, I'm just using it as a tool to help me through thinking something. No one has said, but if they did they'd probably get a condescending comment from me.

Yep I do that, when I was a kid and now too, only a lot less than I was a kid. I could tell myself jokes and puns as a kid and ended up laughing really loud. I have learned not to do that anymore... but sometimes.... :lmao:

When I was in elementary school I would walk around the playground talking to myself.

Even to the extent I was when I was four or five? My mother had problems with me having loud conversations with myself on the train.

That's cute. My son was silent, speech was and still is hard.
I talk to myself to guide my actions.

I found myself talking to myself at work the other day, I must be starting to feel more at home in my new workplace. I also found myself singing as I was walking down the corridor.
I'm getting to the stage where I don't care if people think I'm strange.

I talk to myself constantly and I don't feel bad about it either. 8) It's just part of being me.

Yes, I did it quite often. Even in public!
