After being at Texas State for a semester, and seeing how cliquish and homogeneous the liberals are...

...I realize that it may be conservative people that I need to be around.

Dude, I don't think it should matter. Hang around to the people you like and are drawn to, and if they happen to be a liberal or a conservative, so be it.

I've hung around with both liberal agnostics and conservative evangelist Catholics, and I must say, their particular religious or political affiliation has little bearing on the quality of their characters. You're a good guy, you can befriend who you like!
