Because many people only notice inconsistencies in others - they are blind to the inconsistencies that exist within themselves. People are just like that.

Because they perceive themselves as better than you,
and they are surely offended and defensive when they are outwitted
and challenged by those they already believe they rule over.

They expect everyone else to bend over in the name of the holy status quo. They also loathe being proven wrong.....

What really irks me is that they can dish it out but can't take it. For people with massive superiority complexes, they really are such whiny little crybabies aren't they?

Why do non-NTs think every NT is alike?

Sorry but these threads just irritate me to no end. Billions of people cannot possible all behave alike.

And why do non NTs complain about NTs taking our words out of context but yet we turn around and do it on here?

These hormones make males (at least) sensitive and reactive to just about anything.

The other comments on this thread are right too, there is a spectrum of NTs and they are definitely not all the same. Some of them are definitely more rective than any aspie. But if there are more of them, I would expect their spectrum to possibly cover a broader range.

Ppl with ASDs can do this too. It's not dependant on neurological status; only personality.

Sounds like hypocrisy to me.

It's basic psychology.

people are afraid of things that are different and unusual. If an animal is sick it's behavior may change, alerting the others to the present danger.

Anyway, people have a natural fear of what they don't understand. People like us miss the little behavioral queues given in social situations, and this makes them uncomfortable, so we seem odd. I don't believe the idea that we are special, beucase we are all governed by the same laws of psychology, it's jsut the neurological processes are damaged.

Or Something. Again.

Anyway, I have a lot of NT friends, So maybe they can help me understand.

Also, the behaviour that the OP complains about is not limited to NTs.
