What?
What "study"?
What garbage!

Eh, well, I thought it was dead obvious.

Such as the study I linked to in the opening post, of course.

The small article said it "supports the claim".
It said nothing about proving a theory.
Huge difference.

Secondly, anything that equates animal behavior to that of a person with Asperger's gets my instant disapproval. I'm not even on the spectrum and I find it very offensive.

Actually the animals were being equated to the NT's not the Autistics.

Huh.
Sorry 'bout that.
The tiny article I read didn't mention anything about dogs.
I must be missing something.

Whenever I yawn, people around me begin to yawn. I always thought it was weird.

I am yawning from just reading this thread! (Not being sarcastic, literally reading the word 'yawn' makes me think of people yawning which makes me yawn)

Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont.

I can resist imitating a yawn if I want, too, if I'm consciously thinking about it.

Contagious yawning is an empathetic gesture, like any mimicry or mirroring, rather than a sympathetic one. Just because you don't yawn after everyone doesn't make you a heartless a***hole.

And I definetly do lack empathy, so I always figured that explained my lack of reciprocal yawning.
