WOW, I struck a nerve, huh?

you'd only wished. I just see that you have the usual ideas of any average American on the topic of Native American history, which amounts to zilch knowledge 8)

That would be because they do not teach that aspect in schools, and most people do not care enough to research it on their own.

that's a lousy excuse. I am a foreigner and I read the books and information on them, so why can't you read about 'them savages'???

You're right, it is a lousy excuse, but its still truth, as that is the reality most people live in, as if it doesn't concern them, why learn about it. That is not my stance, but rather the stance of every NT I have ever met.

Well the King and Court confirmed the Felon Geithner to Treasury.

Killing owners for their property continued even after Chief Joesph's War, 1895, Civil Rights were not restored till 1974.

Now a days Natives have casinos and lawyers, and a few warrior groups.

Now the looting is being carried on in the banks and market, and in Washington piling debt on the future.

To me it is like putting Madoff in at Treasury.

FEMA has a Reservation picked out for you.

only a few indians in the USA? Right. To begin with when you celbrate thanksgiving, just rembember how you slaughtered them in Jamestow... and how the pilgrims were saved from starvation before they slaughtered them.
Or how only 200 winters ago black pilgirms smashed native american babies against brick walls because they were heathen...

No one alive now is responsible for what happened back then. Guilt is not heritable. What happened, happened. We of the present owe nothing to the descendants of those who were wronged.

I'm really getting a kick out of this one as both my wife and I have American Indian ancestors. My wife's father is full blood Cherokee so we have some experience with AI history and most of it from both sides of the fence has been incredibly distorted.
Right and wrong has nothing to do with it. Whoever has the superior force will eventually win. That's just a fact of life everywhere.
Just wait until the aliens land here.

OK, tell me something TRUE, and MATERIAL that I don't know that has to do with ANY of the garbage you spout? HECK, I suppose you want to try to make me believe EVERY lie said by EVERY liberal idiot and organization around and force me to believe that this planet would be HEAVEN if only no white person existed. Of course, I guess men are the cause of all problems ANYWAY.

AND, frankly, I never had anything against any American Indian. I never kept a slave, or even cheated anyone. I figure I am only about a fourth or fifth generation american. It seems NONE of my relatives kept slaves. I haven't heard of any cheating anyone. I am NOT independently wealthy, and just want to live my life. Yet stupid liberals come out and say I should pay them EVEN FROM MY SAVINGS. And frankly, I have nothing but contempt for such people, and many of the liberals seem to be intentionally, or not, acting to help them.

And if obama is SO great, smart, perfect, and helpful, WHY did he suggest geithner? And what idiot will he get to replace geithner?

Oh yeah, I am not going to swear just because people tell me too. People saying that I don't do it because I am brainwashed create a paradox by demanding that I swear, since my doing such would be complying with THEIR wishes and doing just what they say I will avoid by doing it.

First off, I'm not American, I'm Canadian, so I don't know everything about your system, plus your whole statement was a strawman fallacy.

I hope that some kind of program comes out to help adults with AS or ASD get jobs and keep them. This economy is not a good one for someone with AS as a possible disadvantage. I hope Obama can get something like that going. Call it an ASD bail-out. Obama has become a new topic of interest for me. I want to know all I can about him. I still like the weather more.

This thread wanders, it might be lost.

The War Baby generation had their wealth in homes, banks, brokerages, and were about to collect Social Security.

This would have left the government working for the people.

Under the Constitution they had rights, but Homeland Security took care of that,

It then turns out that all the real money is gone, replaced by debt obligations, also called IOU's.

Since the stocks held in the street name were sold to brokers, who then sold them in short sales, crashed the market, and made a killing, they now own all the money, and being done by lawyers, it was legal.

Banks reduced common stock to near worthless, all of the deposits several times over, and have IOU's to show for it.

Now We the People have to make good on the IOU's.

As said in Dune, "He who can destroy a thing controls it."

It is not about money, it is about control.

The poor crave money, but the rich crave power.

Power is useless unless it is used, and it can only be used to destroy.

Human nature is an ugly thing.

I was going to add that although change is not my thing, it doesn't bother me when Obama talks about it.

I never thought you had called me American, I was just clarifying that I do not know everything about the American system, and I also know less by not being American, by putting out that I thought you thought that is again, a strawman fallacy. I also know that when it comes to teaching history, the Canadian system and the American system both teach very similar things, more specific to each country, and having very little to do with the Native aspects of it.

Strawman Fallacy is basicly when someone says A, the person on the recieving end of the information responds as if the person said A and B.

Example: Politician John has been elected and says he will give a tax cut. Reporter Mary asks John why he wishes to reduce government spending on social programs, such as welfare. John never said he would reduce spending on social programs, only that he will cut taxes, he could actually be planning on raising spending on social programs. It was assumed by Mary that John would cut spending on social programs, creating a "strawman" of John to "smash" in front of the public and make John's decision look bad, hence the name "strawman fallacy"

I have noticed you do that a lot on these forums, try to avoid it, arguments using fallacies are generally weak arguments even if they are sound and valid.

Well, if everything were covered 100%, there would be no time for anything else. There is enough that is not well proven or revisionist anyway.

What, is this because of what I said about aids? THAT was because of his behaviour, attitude, and past posts, and went towards his trying to say all whites are bad, etc.... Is it because of geithner? I was being 100% honest, it shows what he is like, and it is just FACT. What I said about indians is true, and I didn't even say anything bad, and it WAS in response to what laborojo said.
Is it because of my statements about me and my family? AGAIN, it talks to laborojos claims that whites are evil slavetraders, etc...

Actually, the idea of strawman can seem close to other things. I don't try to create strawman arguments, and have responded far more than I have tried to create problems. HECK, I wasn't the one, that came on here with revisionist history, claiming that one mentioning religion a LOT and talking down to one religion, didn't mention it, and treated all the same. I am not one saying that one guy was the absolute worst and was replace by a fantastic guy, etc....

Frankly, if I were BLACK I would want someone better for president. Even the way he STARTED in politics was TAINTED! And you may claim that is a strawman argument, but I am STILL talking about obama, it is STILL true fact, and it STILL speaks to his character. HECK, I only mention black because it seems SO important to so many.
