I got 26, but I was guessing the whole time. I don't think there were more than a couple I felt sure of. Usually I could rule out one or two answers and then just guessed between the others. I found the women more difficult too - maybe because they were mostly young and made-up, which is bound to make you look flirtatious I suppose! The one's I got wrong I got very wrong - eg irritated instead of playful, bored instead of decisive. Looking back at the pictures with the answers in front of me it still doesn't seem in any way obvious. :?

Wow, that was really hard!

I got an 8. Woohoo.

Your score: 8
A typical score is in the range 22-30. If you scored over 30,
you are very accurate at decoding a person's facial expressions
around their eyes. A score under 22 indicates you find this quite difficult.

I suck.

Are these posed? Because... it's not my problem if they used untalented models. Really, they all looked bored to me. I got to 10 before I myself got bored.

I got a 17.

Did anyone else feel extremely uncomfortable looking at those pictures? I had to force myself to look at them and they all looked the same to me.

I picked up the most randomly, because they all looked almost the same for me.

I just couldn't do it!

Seriously, how can you tell?
Most of them looked the same to me... and it was strangely uncomfortable.

There should have been an option for "I don't know/neutral"

I did! They were very creepy to me. Too much direct eye contact or something. I did not like taking it at all. I wanted to click off the site, but I have this compulsion to finish these things when I start them so I pressed on.

They looked the same to me too. Most I just made random guesses.

My score: 21

1: playful
3: desire
6: fantasizing
10: cautious
16: thoughtful
20: friendly
21: fantasizing
22: preoccupied
23: defiant
25: interested
27: cautious
29: reflective
30: flirtatious
31: confident
32: serious

Alot of the ones I missed were the stupid desire fantasizing flirtatious ones.

It would nice to see the full pictures upon the test results.

Yes, me too! I kept thinking that, even on the ones that didn't give flirtatious as an option. I thought, "they all look like they want me". lol which explains why I always had such problems with women.

Oh and I got 24. I remember taking this some time back and getting about the same, perhaps 26.

When you actually think about it isn't it amazing that the eyes alone can convey so many different human emotional traits and this is just a small segement of possibilities. Based upon your individual scores you can get some idea of why or why you haven't had problems dealing with other people in the past. Most of us can't even maintain eye contact long enough to determine anothers emotion so a static test like this is helpful in some respects but not others.

I do agree with you. They are just photos, they are not thinking real thoughts about YOU so you can look at the eyes and ponder what they might be saying with them. It amazes me how many people on this forum whose profiles say "diagnosed" score in the 24-30 range. This tells me that this cannot be a very accurate test for people with AS.

I think it is accurate but we have time and no pressure so we can study the eyes by themselves without being distracted by the entire face and all the bits and pieces.
