I created a profile of sorts and I found the person I am most comptable with is a teacher at my high school, which I am out of.

Something is wrong with this.

You need to adjust your age restrictions to only a few years older and younger than yourself.

It's set 18 to 25, and I'm 18. She's 25 I guess.
Odd...

Uh, no. I'm not going to hook up with a teacher at a school I went to, that's imo wrong.

Why not? She'd probably know you better than some random stranger. It's not as if you are a current student of hers.

She's a good teacher, but not someone I'd want to go on a date with or whatnot. I'm going to have to putter with my settings a bit.

Okay, so you don't mind if I date her then?

I know you're not interested in dating her but for discussion's sake...

If you're over 18 and out of school then it wouldn't be wrong to date her, or try to, but it probably wouldn't work and not just because you might have AS. (Once you're really out in the adult world, maybe in a few years for you, an age difference of about five or six years is nothing. I've dated in that range.) She might be freaked because she remembers you as a kid/her student, etc. and can't not think of you that way. (You know what they say about first impressions - they're nearly impossible to change.) Even if she likes you it probably would seem Mary Kay LeTourneau-ish to her even though it really isn't so she'd say no.

I never had any luck with Yahoo! Personals but hope you do better.

It would certainly be an interesting story to have handy later. :p

If nothing else, you should contact her about the result so she can get a laugh out of it too.

Years ago on Match.com I decided to try something different for my profile. I posted a list of 10 questions, each with two choices, to see if I could find somebody who shared all ten of my preferences. The list included things like:
Would you rather have a 68 Chevy Camaro or 05 Cadillac Escalade?
Do you prefer to touch or be touched?
Would you rather eat dinner at a Chinese hole-in-the-wall or a fancy Italian restaurant?

Anyway, I got about 20 replies, one of which got all the right answers (ie, the same as mine). So I called him and we went out. Oddly enough, our birthdays were the same also. Even odder, he was very weird. I had lunch with him and couldn't stand to be with him for even one hour.

Lesson learned: just because somebody likes all the same things you do, doesn't mean you're compatible.

Lastly, FYI, my current partner of over 2 years is someone I did end up meeting on that website. It can work. :D

That's a recipe for loneliness.
